Gli MTV Movie & TV Awards 2017 andranno in onda su MTV il prossimo 7 maggio in diretta dallo Shrine Auditorium di Los Angeles e saranno presentati dal comico Adam DeVine: per la prima volta nella loro lunga storia, gli award di MTV dedicati al mondo del cinema apriranno le porte anche alle serie tv, diventate ormai un nuovo importante punto di riferimento per le nuove generazioni pazze di binge watching, Netflix e chi più ne ha più ne metta.

A dominare la lista delle nomination di quest’anno c’è il filn Get Out di Jordan Peele (con un totale di 9 nominations, compresa quella per Miglior Film); dietro di lui il live action de La Bella e La Bestia, candidato a 4 premi. Nella sezione serie tv è Stranger Things a racimolare il maggior numero di candidature, con ben 4 nominations fra cui quella per l’esordiente Millie Bobby Brown (Best Hero).
