I premi della musica europea verranno trasmessi in diretta in tutto il mondo, domenica 12 novembre dalla SSE Arena di Wembley di Londra. In Italia la diretta sarà su MTV (canale 133 di Sky) e MTV Music (canale 704 di Sky) dalle 20.00 con il pre-show e dalle 21.00 con il main show. Lo spettacolo presentato da Rita Ora andrà in onda anche in lingua originale su Comedy Central (Sky canale 124) dalle ore 21.00. Le esibizioni più attese sono quelli di U2, che riceveranno il Global Icon, Eminem, Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato, Liam Payne, Camila Cabello, Kesha, The Killers, Stormzy, Travis Scott, French Montana, David Guetta e i Clean Bandit insieme agli artisti Zara Larsson, Anne-Marie e Julia Michaels.
