Lady Gaga: Video ufficiale di Applause

Lady Gaga è tornata! La controversa cantante americana ha pubblicato il nuovo singolo Applause, tratto dal nuovo disco ARTPOP, di cui possiamo vedere l’interessante video ufficiale. Mentre i critici musicali cercano di capire se il brano è un successo o un fallimento visto che il brano non ha scalato le classifiche come le canzoni di Gaga hanno sempre fatto, abbiamo cercato di cogliere tutte le citazioni sia Pop che Art che la cantante ha voluto inserire nel video di Applause: Lady Gaga non ha voluto lasciarsi nulla alle spalle, da Botticelli a Modanna, passando per Andy Warhol a Leonardo Da Vinci.

Solo nei primi 20 secondi Gaga si trasforma in Greta Garbo, nella Marilyn di Warhol dopo una rissa e in una specie di Pierrot Lunaire espressionista. Le trasformazioni continuano: arrivano un paio di ali che sembrano uscite dai Codici di Leonardo Da Vinci e un look turbantato degno di Diana Vreeland, icona del giornalismo di moda anni ”60 e ’70. Fino alla mutazione in una Venere di Botticelli che è un mashup tra Esther Williams e Beyoncé. Tutto accompagnato dai classici balletti in biancheria intima tipici di Mother Monster.

La cantante tornerà per la prima volta sul palco per interpretare Applause agli Mtv Video Music Awards 2013.
